This is a group for bridge players of all experience levels - including beginners. If you enjoy playing bridge and/or want to learn how to play bridge in a fun, social environment - this is the group for you. The group meets on a weekly basis. You can sign up for as many or as few weeks as you like but we do ask that you RSVP through Meetup since each bridge game requires four players. We typically try for one or two tables each week (4 or 8 players) and we welcome all experience levels. Lig …
Come and enjoy playing some social bridge with people who are just learning bridge, and with some people who are "mentoring" these people, and with some other people who already know bridge. The emphasis is on having fun, and learning and playing some bridge in a fun environment. Come between 6 and 6:30pm if you'd like to have dinner before playing bridge. The bridge goes from around 7pm until around 9pm. I hope that you'll be able to join us some Sunday night.

The location ranges from the East Ba …

We are a small group of bridge players who are just out for fun, and we could use a few new members. We meet on a Sunday every month or two at my home in Belmont, CA. We start at 1:00 and play until 4:30 or 5:00. We are mostly decent players but certainly not serious. Our next game is next Sunday, Feb. 12th.
Hi Everyone. I am starting this group to bridge the gap between Muslims and Non Muslim Americans due to the events of 911 and what followed that. This meetup is not reserved to people with specific religions and everybody's welcomed, including those who don't practice any religion at all. It is my hope that through group discussion we can come together and be what we were all born to be: One people.

… When this happens, in a sense, the writer has become a shaman: one who makes a bridge from her own human consciousness to a consciousness that is far bigger, mysterious and vast. Writing can give us many gifts. It can help us touch into a depth far beyond our personal selves; it can also help us express the personal self, what poet Seamus Heaney calls the "essential watermark” of our own perceptions. Writing can also give us a way to mine meaning, even beauty, from the difficult events in our …

… So why should we have to cross a bridge, traverse a tunnel or hop on a ferry to cowork elsewhere? We're still in the early stages of building a community of folks not only intrigued by the concept of coworking, but also interested in helping making it happen. Meh... I don't know this coworking thing is for me. Do any of these statements ring true? Free wifi at McCoffeeHouse seems nice, then you realize the bandwidth gets gobbled by the gazillion other folks slumming for free wifi. Ever notic …

… My best memories of travel were me and my brother in the back seat of my family's car taking road trips from Illinois to Florida, California/East Coast, or exploring ports on dad's boat along the Illinois river, Michigan City sand dunes, Grand Haven, Michigan artist colony, Holland, Michigan's singing fireworks bridge. When on car trips, mom would pull out a Coleman camp stove and make coffee on a picnic table, how embarassing, but memorative. I'll never forget the time in Michigan we had to eva …
