Are you looking for classes or just social play with those at your level, I didn't think the meetup was meant as an avenue to teach the game, but as a well to play social bridge with those at your level.

Ok, so I know that I'm not welcome in this group. I'm an intermediate player that hasn't played for a while so I'm effectively a beginner but I don't think beginners are going to learn much from each other. Is anyone interested in a group that welcomes everyone? I'd love to play in Brooklyn also!

If you don't want to play with beginners, then have a separate beginners table. But to say you won't welcome them at all? You were a beginner once. What if no one had wanted to play with you?

I THINK WE'VE FOUND AN ACCEPTABLE VENUE FOR PLAYING BRIDGE. IT IS A STARBUCKS ON 30TH STREET AND PARK AVENUE SOUTH. I THINK WE SHOULD LIMIT THE FIRST MEETUP TO THREE TABLES (12 PEOPLE BUT IF MORE THEY CAN SIT IN).
I KNOW THE PREFERENCE IS FOR WEDNESDAY BUT I CAN ONLY DO IT ON MONDAY, MAY 12.
I ALSO AM MAKING A RULE THAT ONLY EXPERIENCED PLAYERS ARE INVITED. BRIDGE IS A CHALLENGING GAME AND SHOULD BE PLAYED ON A LEVEL (EQUAL) PLAYING FIELD. THEREFORE, SORRY, NO BEGINNERS PLEASE.
7PM MONDAY MAY12 STARBUCKS - CLOSED AT 12 PEOPLE BUT IF THERE IS ROOM THEN MAYBE YOU CAN PLAY. I WILL BRING THE CARDS. $2.00 APIECE PLEASE.
